Dr. Chris Lofquist

Dr. Lofquist was born & raised in Oregon, Ohio attended Heidelberg University in Tiffin and majored in Athletic Training. He then continued his education at Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri where he earned his Master’s in Science for Sports & Exercise Rehabilitation and Doctorate in Chiropractic. As a part of his degree he completed an internship with The Ohio State University’s Strength and Conditioning Department where he had rotations with the Olympic Sports, Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, as well as COSI’s “Labs on Life” exhibit featuring different modalities in Human Performance.

Dr. Lofquist is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, a Full Body Level 2 Elite Provider for Active Release Techniques as well as an Integrative Diagnosis certified practitioner, he has also continued his education with a variety of other topics mainly focused on assessing and evaluation of movement and human biomechanics, nutrition and exercise.

Dr. Lofquist treats a wide variety of patients from a few months old to those in their 90s, and although their ages might not be in common, they do usually have the common goals of living active & pain free lives. Dr. Lofquist provides on-site corporate wellness care through Active Release Techniques. He is a consulting chiropractor for the University of Findlay, Heidelberg University, and Tiffin University. In the past he assisted several members of the Tiffin University Men’s Indoor Track team to their back to back NCAA Division II National Championships. He has treated professional Triathletes as well as athletes in NASCAR, the NHL as well as all levels of the NCAA in a variety of different sports. In addition to this he treats competitive and casual Ultramarathoners, Marathoners, Triathletes, Olympic Lifters, Crossfitters and Couch-to-5k’ers. Dr. Lofquist is also adjunct faculty at Heidelberg University where he has previously taught Kinesiology & Biomechanics and currently teaches Introduction to Medical Imaging.  He was also a presenter at the Great Lakes Athletic Training Association 2016 meeting giving a presentation titledThe Ever Expanding Universe of Soft Tissue Techniques From Conventional Massage Therapy to The Proprietary and Patented: Graston and Active Release Technique.”

Dr. Lofquist and his wife Breena have two daughters, and a son and live in a small town outside of Findlay. Breena is a former collegiate volleyball player for Heidelberg and has helped Dr. Lofquist make the transition from the Rugby pitch to the (usually sand) volleyball court.  Both coach their daughters in different sports and they also enjoy running and working out together. Dr. Lofquist enjoys playing golf and also is a two time winner of the Arnold Classic Rowing Ergatta held in Columbus.

Dr. Lofquist is a member of Active Release Technique’s Elite Provider Network in which he provides corporate wellness, first aid and work injury prevention. He has previously served the Findlay Young Professionals Board as the Vice President, and is currently working with the Carey LINK in establishing a Dog Park and Community Orchard just outside Carey, Ohio.
